Recent Submissions in Profile?

Some art and fanart sites do this: they feature "Artist so-and-so Recent Submissions" section of a user's profile, meaning that, in a person's profile, they show 3-5 thumbnails of a person's recently submitted art/stories.

Which comes to my conclusion: I think that this feature should be implemented on FAC.

Decent idea or not?

I agree. I never understood why it were the 5 most popular.

Agree too, this is a staple of just about every art site I've ever seen.

Yeah- that's a good idea =D Some of the artist's "Featured Art" isn't always thier best work, so showing some of thier latest work also sounds pretty cool ^^

I think three recent submissions would be the best because it won't slow down the site as much.

From a technical standpoint, three vs. five won't make much of a difference.

EDIT: Hey, if this is done, will the Recent Submissions be as smaller thumbnails, or text links, as in ~~Fur-Affinity.org~~ Fur-Affinity.net?

EDIT 2: I mean, the recent submissions [i]are[/i] text links, but when you hover above the link, you see the image. I don't know if FAC could have that ability, too, but text links or smaller thumbnails could work, too.

Oh, and you could make it an option in the profile to show/hide Recent Submissions. Does that sound adequate?

She kinda has a point. It should be in a place so the profile doesn't look "cluttered" and the Recent Submissions doesn't look out-of-place. Confused

Fur-affinity is a [i].net[/i], not a [i].org[/i] . (For the record.)

But anyway. We already have code available for popup boxes, however I'm not convinced they're necessary. The one place (I know of) where they're used is on the approval CP, and even that uses thumbnail views.

Replace top 5 pictures with most recent pictures. You don't need to display both. Or let users choose which set to display on their profile.

I agree with that. I think there should be an option to display Most Popular Submissions, Recent Submissions, or none. Because some n00bs and stupid fangirls would probably pitch a b*tch about it if you take away the Most Popular Submissions.

So I say that we should have that option to display one or the other on our profile.
