No, i think she's requesting -- for lack of a better term -- smiley support on the mainsite.

It's certainly doable, but obviously we would be restricting it to "approved" smileys and other images. No lolcats plz.

I've disabled the smiley stuff in the new parser because I never asked Denis if he wanted me to upload all the smilies that went with it.

It wouldn't be any trouble at all. I just have to enable and upload the files for it.

I think what is being asked for tho is a code to embed people's avatars in comments and stuff like DA has.

We don't need smileys on the main site. Just the forums. I don't want to be getting just a smiley face in a comment on one of my pictures. The one-word comments are bad enough.

As for the avatar code, I think that should be implemented, but not a necessity, though.

Yeah. That would be hell.

But, anywho, yea, now that I think about it, being able to embed people's icons in your comments on the main site, or in your picture description does sound interesting.

It really would be a nice feature, though. But like I said, we really don't need it. We did just fine without it. URLs to the people's profiles/galleries have worked well enough for years.

I'd say.. no. There are people who like to list their friends on their profile pages, so if you let people post icons with code you'd end up with pages with too fucking many pictures again.

Yeah, I'd agree. But if they decide to do this then I think they should enforce a limit or so. Like no more than 10 avvies on one page/in one comment.
