You see, Slipknot is frowed up by the general music community as being a band aimed at whiny, angsty teens attempting to be rebellious, primarily due to their poor writing, and lack of technical skill (drummer aside). I was pointing it out that someone with a Slipknot signiture (IE, a lack of musical maturity) was calling me immature for criticizing the overly agsty teen lyrics written by someone.

In summary, Slipknot is a disgrace to the metal genre, so stop sucking their collective metaphoricle cock.

OH GOD YOU ARE BAD AT METAL HOW DID YOU GET HERE. Slipknot is Nu-metal, at best, clean vocals, lack of technical playing or over-the-top heavy playing style. Secondly, you fail for calling Death Metal a turbo fail. Death Metal is actually, in my opinion, probably the best, most technically skilled as a whole, interesting, and best written genre in modern music. Listen to Behemoth's "Sculpting the Throne Ov Seth", or Nile's "Unas, Slayer of the Gods". Both feture technicle playing that FAR outdoes Metallica, as well as a good amount of Ozzy (Excluding any Randy Rhoads tracks, of course).

Further more, Metallica is a shi[color=red][/color]tty, shi[color=red][/color]tty, example of good 80's metal. They burned out into boring, unoriginal tracks after three albums, and are nowadays, basically considered a joke. If you look at other 80's-90's Bay Area thrash bands that are far better. Testament actually got BETTER over time, and currently have a bitchin' sounding album coming out. Machine Head helped to redefine the thrash genre for the 90's with Burn my Eyes, and although they had a two album slump after 2000, they picked back up, and their recent album "The Blackening" was godly thrash.

In summary, please don't lump Slipknot in with the Death Metal genre. Please. We hate them too.

Clean vocals on Slipknot definately contains rap influences, moreso on their third album than the first two. Even without that, thier genre [i]much[/i] closer to metalcore than to death metal.
