I seem to be really late to this thread, but my two favorite comics (in terms of appearence) are Ghost Rider: Trail of Tears and India Authentic: The Book of Shiva.

See that? That's how the entire book is. Clayton Crain knows [i]exactly[/i] what he's doing.
The man also knows how to use color extremely effectively as well.

Sadly, this is the only one of the god-centric India Authentics I have, I'm really hoping the others are similar in style.
There are a few pencilists and colorists working together on this one, but the results are stunning.

Comic book art has always, always inspired me, how they color and ink the drawings are incredible! My favorites: Mark Ryan and Manuel Garcia. And cover artist Mike Mayhew, though he's not very comic-ish. He's more realistic CG.
