Yeah, I'm fairly sure this is just an inverted image with a few changes in Paint, but for the life of me I can't find the original. Help out please?

I've pointed that one out earlier, too. It looks suspicious. I swear I have seen Pikachu in that pose before somewhere . . .

Photobucket isn't usually the most reliant source.

Since the link you did post though has the exact same lineart as the other picture, I'm guessing it's a coloring page of some sort. I'm looking for it now.

Photobucket is not an acceptable source for original imagery under almost all circumstances, unless specific conditions are met a PB addressed image will not be acceptable proof of authentisity.

We are alredy aware of both images and are searching for it, we also assume it to be a coloring page, we just have not found it yet

it does look like his tho. havent spoken to him in ages... but it's stupid to copy other peoples work. whats the poin in doing that?

Well, the same image that firehead found on Photobucket also happens to be from ######_#######'s gallery. I did a trace test and the lineart matches up perfectly. Enough to report?

Photobucket[b][u] is not [/u][/b]a reliable source.

The lineart is all the same with those pictures, so it's most likely a [u]coloring page[/u], not a stolen picture.

Yes, it's enough to report however it is not always enough to bring a deletion, like in circumstances like this one where the proposed original is also under high doubt of authentisity.

We need an original image or something acceptably close.

I have gone through many sites, Google Images and Ask Images Search, Photobucket and TinyPic, and I have found Pikachus close to the image, but not exactly identical to John Doe's picture.

I will keep searching.

Nah, I didnt find it on photobucket.

I saved it so I didnt have to link it to his picture.

I think he edits sprites, so he could have changed the position of it.

hello you do realize that a lot of pikachus look a lot alike? i do not swipe other peoples work. and by the looks of things yah it looks like i cheated but i didnt. i swung a pikachu sketch i did through myart dabbler thing and messed with my spraypaint tool and stuck a bg in on paint because the spray tool on that was too fine work for the bg i wanted.

That's always the first excuse from the mouth of the accused.

Comparing the two images now, and they [b]do[/b] in fact pass a tracing test. Can you prove that the newer one was created from scratch, and wasn't simply the old one passed through some RGB filters and some MSPaint-level edits? This isn't just a "passing resemblence", it's a [url=http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h316/Stratelier/trace_anim.gif][u] pixel by pixel match[/u][/url].

You can't "edit" another image in some way and claim the result as your own, you have to create works from scratch.

Now, if the older image is itself traced or edited from something else it will also be removed, but [i]that[/i] has yet to be proven.

In the meantime . . . DIS-MISSED!
