hey i wanted the lined paper because it provided a strobe effect on the pikachu to some degree which was the entire reason i left it on there!. if i have to take it off how the heck do you propse i do this without wreaking my shading? _________________ with this frame of mind you better pray i never get a point of view gun, too late i just did. just pray i dont aim at you then! |

Removing lines from notebook paper is never easy. But a least-difficult rule of thumb is, if you're going to touch up a traditional scan digitally (without entirely painting over it, that is), line removal should be the first thing you do, while you still have a clean scan to work with.
The Clone and/or Heal brushes may be your best friends here. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

ah ok,makes sence but what about 6 days from now when i dont have adobe photo to use those with? could i resubmit my picture and just look at those lines as strobe and or static effect? which was the general goal in the first place? _________________ with this frame of mind you better pray i never get a point of view gun, too late i just did. just pray i dont aim at you then!

ok this is not fair i resubmitted it with barely any of the line showing up and you guys still rejected it! need i remind you that my dragon hand drawn pic shows way loads of sketch lines and it still got in? true that was a size based rejection but if that can have that many lines i really dont see why my pikachu can barely have any lines and till get rejected! no i do not have either adobe or gimp atm, and am having to make do with what i do have. and unfortunatly that does not mean an original sketch on white paper! ID: #690294 has been considerably cleaned up and you guys just went and torched it like "oops theres a little bit of line we cant have that! *mimes strata flaming pikachu into a cindercloud* please take a look and tell me otherwise on the line thing wether or not i have a point when comparing my dragon to my pikachu? _________________ with this frame of mind you better pray i never get a point of view gun, too late i just did. just pray i dont aim at you then! |

I am not seeing any differences at all between #688804 and #690294, but overall I'm kinda agreeing with aquaeevee here.
Guys, remember that the linedpaper rule was originally intended to encourage users to choose a sketchbook or other blank paper for drawing on, i.e. for cases where it's obvious that they just doodled on whatever was available with no real concern for the result.
IMHO, regarding aquaeevee's submissions in question, the notebook lines are not visible from the submission thumbnail -- heck they're barely visible in the first place underneath the digital tinting. In other words, it's barely worth enforcing the linedpaper rule on these submissions at all.
And remind me to work on that undelete feature. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

Most submissions with lined paper aren't obvious in the thumbnails. 8|
How barely-visible do lines have to be for them to be allowed? _________________ Go Yankees! |

With Scraps support also on the list of features to be built, I'd rather avoid drawing a line in the sand. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA
