I've no idea if someone has already suggested this, oh well.
But I think we should be able to have our online status hidden.
I don't know about some artists, but I tend to get bombarded with "Hi" comments whenever I'm online. So it'd be a nice feature in my personal opinion. |

No point, your going to get that kind of comment most of the time anyway. _________________ |

:\ It happens alot more though when people can see that you're online because they want a conversation.
Not to mention it fills up a e-mail inbox like crazy (or at least it does mine).
Regardless it'd be a nice feature. |

Just block the person sending you random comments. Or just threaten to block them if they don't stop.
I know how you feel. A user I'll call "Kirby" comes on my profile everyday when he sees I am online and leaves random comments. I blocked him once. |

Among one of the features coming soon is the ability to restrict or disable commenting on your user profile page. That way, you won't have to block them. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

Hidden status for profiles can be a plus, too. I don't want users bombarding me with "hiii wats up?????" comments the millisecond I get onto FAC. |

Yes, exactly, I didn't join FAC to just talk to random people in my profile. I joined to upload my artwork, not to chat.
People commenting saying my artwork is cool is completely fine to me, but if they are wanting to have some random conversation about Naruto, then it's not.
I have seen RPs going back and forth on people's profiles. People should learn to use the PMs, or use the forums to talk.

And Strata, I've heard about MetaKnight56 spamming up your page with "hi lets be fwends" comments. She spams mine too (I've blocked her once), and I am highly looking forward to that being able to disable comments in profiles option. |

Indeed, somebody has too much free time on their hands. I'm seeing comments posted (almost literally) every five minutes in sessions lasting 2+ hours at a time. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

I don't have a problem with a hidden status, but I can't really be bothered coding it
That said, if somebody did code it, it should integrate with the forums option for that. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |

Same thing for hiding one's email address ... btw, forums and users are separate schema, correct? Okay, so making forum options visible on mainsite shouldn't be too difficult, but vice versa...?
Speaking of which, what rule is there to keep forums and mainsite user ID's in sync? I've noticed only one user ID with different usernames between forums and mainsite, but that was in capitalization only ("Battou" vs "battou") therefore it's not a problem. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

Could a friends list be separate from a Favorite Artists list? There's some people I am friends with, but I don't want to be notified about their art. Got the idea from dA and sheezyart. |

dA uses the same structure for 'Friends' and watched artists, the only difference is the checkbox displayed when managing one's watched artists (and whether or not you're a subscriber). _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA
