at my school we have an anime club and when its over members that appear to be your friends don't even speak to you... its not like they have any reputation to uphold... |

want to make friends and be popular?
be more outgoing. get other interests besides anime so that you can have more in common with other people.
seriously, it is not that difficult. there is more to the world than simply anime, and you need to explore it. join a club, talk to people you wouldn't normally talk to, get a job, get a hobby-- anything that can connect you to other people, some you would not even expect.
you are not an "outcast" because you like anime. most likely you are an outcast because you only wish to surround yourself with other people who like or live and breath anime. people do not want to be around others who have a one-tracked mind or that they cannot relate to in the slightest.
really, i had a room mate who i had virtually nothing in common with except that we enjoyed similar music. yet we still were able to go to concerts together, hang out and have a good time. you do not need to have a lot in common with others to make friends or gain aquaintances. you just need an open mind and the desire to try new things.
hence, you are not an outcast. you isolate yourself. anime has nothing to do with it. |

I'm Spanish. In Spain, anime-lovers are also outcasts in School. |
