When I'm going from page to page, I get this error that came out of nowhere saying that I'm using an ad blocker. What should I do. I've looked in the Tools menu in the Internet, but I don't see what it is.

Check your antivirus software, some softwares come bundled with ad blocking options.

If you are using Firefox, make sure you don't have an adblocker extension.

If you do not, then something else on your computer is blocking the ads. Ask your parents/siblings if they have added an adblocking program to the computer and/or browser, and how to access and disable ad blocking for fanart-central.net.

I remember reading something about false positives....but I did not pay enough attention to the matter to know wether or not that has been found and fixed.

Half of the time I can't access FAC on the first go. I have to hit refresh a couple of times to get rid of a false positive.

Based on the code, this error should only happen once per visit, or until the session is terminated/re-loaded.

This means, that if you leave the page open for long enough, and don't change it, you'll see the ad warning again. (at least as long as you are not actively browsing the site in another tab)
Also, if you edit your profile and/or your user settings you'll see the message again.

Lastly, you should not have to refresh multiple times to get the message to terminate.

My summery:
The counter is falling to increment on the instance of a blocker message (no idea why.)
Also, something within the site must be frequently refreshing user's sessions, based on the knowledge that the user has not updated their profiles, or left the web-page unattended for a decent amount of time. (This would include an unattended "tabbed" web-page, and that the other tabs open are not actively browsing the same site.)

If your internet is very slow or the server is massively overloaded it could cause a false positive, but other than that it shouldn't be a problem.

Also, cookies or JavaScript disabled could cause problems.

My Internet is not slow. But my cookies and JavaScript are not disabled. Could you tell me "steps" of what I should do, if I want to be in FAC without interruption.

Well...usually I go to the FAC forum for a bit, so I won't get spotted the next time I come back to the main FAC for a short bit of time.
