Hi there, FAC.
I'm very sorry to bother you, but this seems to be the place to take this issue to task.
I submitted two pictures on Sunday, June 1st in the late afternoon. As I write this, it is Tuesday, June 3rd, late afternoon. The pictures have not gone up, and I have not yet received a rejection notice via email as I usually do, should my piece be unapproved.
Now, I wouldn't be creating this thread if this was the first time this had happened. But this has happened multiple times in only the ten pictures I have submitted since I joined. My pictures will often take more than one or two days to go up or be rejected.
I know this site has extremely heavy traffic, but what I find the most peculiar is that some of my friends around the website have their pictures approved almost instantly (although they have been members far longer, so maybe that's the condition). One of them suggested it's because I've only been around for about two months and haven't submitted a lot of content.
I apologize once again for this most likely often asked question, but I'm just wondering. What I found on the FAQ didn't seem to address this for me, but maybe I'm just missing it. Am I just getting my pictures caught in heavy traffic? Or is it an issue of quality?
Thank you kindly for your time. |

That's one reason.
Most of the time, this is because you submitted your piece to a 'monitored' category; we have set certain submission categories to require manual review and approval by site staff regardless of whether you have earned 'auto' status or not.
Sorry, it is not possible to identify these categories at a glance from the submissions form itself.
This is another reason. _________________ THIS SIGNATURE IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE. |

The reason is mostly because Battou borked his computer. _________________ Go Yankees! |

Pictures are approved instantly for one of two reasons.
1. The artist has proven that they don't fail at submitting and gets auto-approval status.
2. Someone happened to be online and was doing approvals at the time the picture was submitted. _________________ Go Yankees! |

>_> Hmmm...I have that auto approval thing already, but ever since the new update for FAC came up, some of my pictures were sent up to the Aproval desk again. O_O I have no idea why. |

Your Auto approval status is intact, there are a growing number of monitered categories that require manual approval for various reasons. _________________ RPG-n. As long as you make note of that, there should be no reason for it.
All of your art is original, so it could have been a monitored category, or a simple bug. |

Aside from monitored categories, there are a few circumstances which will flag a piece for manual approval. Large image dimensions (measured by pixels) are one such case. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA
