Blizzard is making a risky move with the release of this game.

They are releasing a different game for each different side in the game.
and each game will have a slightly different playing style.
They first game will be released then expansion packs to follow whcih are the other 2 sides of the game.

yes..thats what most people are saying to, and I agree, most of their games are pretty fun and are extremely successful, so more than likely this wont be as bad as some people think. I was just poting it here to see what kind of feedback I would recieve.

Having to pay to play online in the latest Diablo sounds like a seriously flawed gameplan - not for them, financially, but won't it alienate most of the fans who latched onto Diablo for the sweet (and free) online component?

But I digress.

Server's cost money. And considering people still play diablo and startcraft on bnet it's got to cost them a lot to maintain for a game they made a decade ago.

The retail cost of the game only pays for so many years of server hosting.

But the fact that I don't think it will work without bnet (no lan option) makes it still lame.
