i have noticed that there is lots and lots sonic art (characters,OCs,stories) i remember playing sonic on the genisis back in the day(back when sonic games were still good). I mean none of the recent games have been very good( i think the last sonic game i liked was on dreamcast).i wanna here from sonic fan why its so appealing still. i mean does it gather all this fandom from the games still? does it have a cartoon?am i missing something.

Um, it DID have a cartoon that used to show on 4Kids TV (aka Fox 5 on Saturday mornings) but it wasn't truly good.

The day levels of Sonic Unleashed were actually quite good - it was the night levels that stunk. Sonic and the Secret Rings was bad too.

Sonic Riders is okay, it's a typical racing game.

The best recent game was Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. Bad animation, low replay, but pretty darn awesome the first time around. Major tip: Get Cream's MP restore move upgraded to max ASAP.

I guess a lot of people draw Sonic because it's so easy to draw and alter.

Thank you for not being a faggot. Thinking this was going to be another faggy thread about how recent Sonic is still good, I was just going to go on trolling.

But everything you said is completely true. You get it. I salute you.

Also, the fanbase is mainly composed of furfags who haven't come out of the closet yet, so instead of drawing full on animal sex, they just go for Sonic OCs. It also appeals to the lazy, and uncreative.

LOL I'm not even mad, cause that is so true these days. I can honestly say I'm not interested with Sonic crap any more. Fan kids ruined it for me; they take this crap waaay to serious some times and my friends have all these hilarious jokes about the series. When Sonic starts to become "entertaining" again, I will be impressed.

They have ruined the games. I say they go back to the original.
Come to think of it, I'm surprised they haven't made a Sonic SIMS game.

I never liked Sonic at all, I just found the games boring.

BTW I'm older than the Sonic franchize, I remember the first games.

Classic Soic games are the only ones for me, they were more fun and had made you work hard to beat it, unlike the new ones.

[b][color=darkblue]Well i don't know why I'm reading THIS TOPIC but I am a Sonic fan... And yes it is FAIRLY easy to draw... I like elaborated drawings but the Sonic style has its unique charm... It's like criticizing the anime artists, or Wolf artists, dragon artists and the ones that focus on furry beings!! JUST BE INDIFERENT TO THEM! IT'S LIKE A COUNTRY THAT YOU'RE NOT INTERESTED TO VISIT.

You may not like all the games, but you can make fanart based in just one game... My personal favorites are the ones of Dreamcast...

Of course there are a lot of fans that act like freaks... but not all of them are like that... In personal opinion Idon't like that people..

That's my point of view... please don't bother us, the Sonic fans (in all ranges and categories). Smile
