Will that just change the color or will it move some stuff around (i.e.: put categories listed on the left like it used to be).

Mostly just color, but it is possible to include minor layout changes too (like having the list of categories on the left).

FUC as it is, is just a different template and different database.

Bringing over the template would be trivial, but the problem of existing links and picture IDs is the real mess.
