dA is so big, people working in lesser known fandoms tend to have their pics lost in the crowd (& there are a lot of fanart haters there in general). That's why I joined here- I only due a few pieces in the really big fandoms.[size=18][/size][color=darkred][/color]

It's sad to see people leave this site to go join DA. I hop around both. Still, it is understandable since it's a bigger site with usually more comment feed.

this is the sad thing....FAC has kinda died ever since i joined it a few years ago not too many people get on anymore i mean i mainly stick to the forums but still its kinda depressing to see it going downhill maybe the hardcore FACians should get something together to try and bring it back.....

meh. FAC has died. It used to be great when I was a kid. Then...people figured out that it sucked compared to other art sites. Especially when it tried to copy deviantart.

I moved there.

same! had lots goin on when i was like 12! hey maybe it'll flourish... fanart isnt a bad site, just needs a jumpstart... copying deviant art was rather stupid.... just makes it like a clone site, they should come up with something unique to fanartcentral...

yes, I do have a DA acc, same name as FAC, although I like FAC better because DA doesnt have very effective ways to find people you know or their art.

I have a deviantart too only because I had a lot of friends on there. I came to FaC because I liked the community here much better, for some reason I kept running into people on DA who was only slam my work and tell me how much I sucked. I didn't get much encouragement at all.

I only maintain my DA as my sort of photographic database since FaC is more of drawing the photography. But this account is still my flagship, account. I've made a lot of friends here on FaC and none on DA. in fact, I have to constantly patrol DA because people have stolen my work and claimed it as theirs.

I actually redirect people here who go to my deviantart because I'm way more active on FaC.
