Hey, don't knock it, it's quite good. I like the golf, tennis and baseball modes the best. I think that Wii Sports Resort looks most fun.

PS: I made a Yuki Sohma Mii today, on my Wii.

Thom, Herc, stay on topic if you can. (Or get out.)

I picked up Wii Sports Resort too. Swordplay is pretty fun. In "Speed Slice" mode, you can actually chop the objects up as finely as you want (before they disappear, that is), and "Swordplay Showdown" is a nice demonstration of how a hack-and-slash with [i]accurate[/i] motion detection can play. Gets pretty frustrating on the harder levels though and it's easy to wear your arm out.

I do like the opening sequence first time you put the game in (at least after the mandatory Wii MotionPlus tutorial). No menus, no instructions, just one of your Miis skydiving above the resort island, then everybody lines up in a formation, chutes open and THERE is your "Wii Sports Resort" title screen.

My favorite mode to kill time in, however, is Free Flying mode. You get to just plain cruse around and explore all of the island resort as you see fit (your only restriction a time limit of 5 minutes per flight) and discover all sorts of tourist trivia around the resort (I've located all but four of the 80 points by now).

E.g:
[quote][b]Tennis Courts[/b]
"Unfortunately, the dogs on the beach ran off with all the tennis balls."

[b]Extreme Canoeist[/b]
"Wedge Island and back? No problem!"[/quote]

I'm completely on topic, broseph. Easy to make, low budget, high income minigame games are going to poison the industry in the long run.

Why bother putting in the time to make something like Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden, when Carnival Minigames 2 takes half the budget, and will triple sales?

All of these fat asses playing Wii Sports should go outside and play tennis for real instead of paying out the ass for an awful videogame.

I think that was on topic.

I think Wii Sports: Resort is an kickass game and my bro bought it! My favorite sports in it are Swordplay Duel and Skydiving. There are some which I need more practice on. And it's a good thing that we bought 2 more of those MotionPlus.

I give this game 5 stars. Smile

I know you have this ridiculous compulsion to organize absolutely everything on this site into its own little private compartment, but is it [i]really[/i] necessary to force those of us with criticisms for the game into a separate topic? It's not like this site is terribly active anyway, so it's not like it's super difficult to follow what is going on.

You do this a lot. You like to close threads for minute mistakes on the OP's part. There's an edit button. Let them fix the thread, or you can fix it for them. Don't close it and make them make a new one. Don't split threads to separate people with delicate sensibilities from people who don't agree with them. More often then not, you're chasing people from the forums and if the forum needs anything right now, it's more genuine activity, not more moderation.

And for God's sake, give us our image tags back.

... FWIW I haven't used the "Split Topic" button in [i]months[/i]. If you want to continue on that subject then take it to another topic (or PM) please, there's a line to draw between natural meander and intentional derailment, and you've probably crossed it already. Sad
