this might be just me but, i think it might be kind of nice to recognize artists that have been active to this site for idk like more than 4 years or something? maybe some simple benefits or whatever to appreciate them and staying with fan art or something of the like. And being devoted to the sight and sharing there artwork and such.

I thought it would just be something nice to do. idk it just kinda popped in my head ^^ just a suggestion Smile

Well, there's the issue of people who join and NEVER come back...their accounts still exist. And they'll be a few years old too.

I recommend having a "Featured Artist" archive. (or if there is one, can someone tell me where it is?)

yeah but i mean people who have been submitting artwork, i mean it would be a bit but i mean people are active since they've joined and been active longer than idk 4 years or so, just to give thanks for staying with FAC for so long. All you do is look at the profile and see when a person joined.

Its just a thought ^^;

8D Hey! I like that idea. Granted, I'm as dead as a doorknob during school days, but during the Summers, I'm very active.

I've seen some websites giving people "medals" or little trophies for staying on the website for long enough, or maybe the head honchoes themselves noticed how active and dedicated they were to the site. Seriously...there are some artists here who submit a good deal at a regular pace, and it doesn't matter how many favs or comments they get; they should still be rewarded somehow for their hard work in making this site prosper a little.

xP (For example, Falconlobo. I have no idea how she has so much time on her hands for this site, but she does)

It's something we've been trying to work on, but it's hard to make it stand out.

Hmm ... maybe you could have appointees/volunteers to read fanfictions of ALL (Or at least the ones that get the most fanfictions) genres and make a suggestion?

Whether they stretch from Halo fanfictions to Sonic. Comedies to tragedies. And from simple script to heavy well planned long stories.

Something like that.

Err ... I don't know.

Long term, I would like to have an AP for stories and featured stories. But there is a lot of development work to do in general, and a lot prioritized above that.

The fact that it does exist is one thing but it does need to be better marked, I simply don't think many people are realizing the text saying "Featured Pictures", "Recent Pictures" and "Recent Stories" are all links to such an archive.

Further more we need one for featured artist of the month. Personally I feel that would help generate some comments on the older FOMs and possibly bring the attention of some of those who have left back to FAC.
