Buddy List System

[b]OK Don't yell at me. This wasn't my idea. It was my friend's![/b]

Like dA has that box you click on that will let you see if your friends are online/offline, or away.

Maybe FAC could have something like this?

And, I know people would just say, "just click Who's Online". But wouldn't it be [i]more[/i] convenient to have it in one place?

Again, not my idea, so don't yell at me for being stupid.

Certain users are already too obsessive over FAC, but it would still be a nice perk to have IMO.

Say, when you view your Friends list, since it's already joining the users table to display that list, it could very easily fetch their online status as well.

Question, would there be another option then when adding or faving an artist/writer?
Like one saying something along the lines of "add this user to your friends list."
I mean, I wouldn't want random people that i watch to be on my friends list if I didn't know that person, and I'm sure others would feel the same.
(If not, then I'll revoke that).

Perhaps, just this once, you should actually think through what you plan to say BEFORE you say it.
Who knows, it may make you sound more intellectual and maybe that way you won't offend anyone.

Actually yes, I've been mulling over adding a "Friend" status flag to user watchlists, in addition to the existing "Favorite Artist" status.

That would actually be pretty nice to have.
It would save some users the trouble of creating a make-shift friends list on there profile page.

so would that be avaliable as a minor update, or would it have to be a whole new upgrade like this zellers one?
