Another Bug

I found another bug! Besides the two major one (not receiving e-mail notifications of comments and new submissions of other artists), when I use rc.fanart-central.net, I cannot view any profiles! This is what it says,

" Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_boolean() in /usr/home/sites/rc.fanart-central.net/www/templates/New/profile.php on line 61 "

Also, do I have to go to rc.fanart-central.net? Can I just do www.fanart-central.net? Thank you for all your help!

Patched and testable on RC.

The difference between RC and WWW is that RC is automatically updated with the latest patches/bugfixes (I'm listing them on my profile page), mainly so they can be tested and verified to work properly before the webmaster exports them to WWW.

Failure to perform good testing is why so many bugs were found after the update Sad

This error message was inadvertently caused by the patch for online/offline status, but you are correct in that it only affects the "Zellers" skin.

Ah ha so that's why the beta is working again. I shall use it for my problem and the online status means nothing to me cuz it always says offline cuz when you use the beta it's 2 different things. Hardly anyone uses the beta...besides Kooldude and me. Smile

I don't really use the beta either. I thought that using it would cause my e-mail notifications to come back but it didn't, oh well. I'll just keep waiting for it to be fixed. I would like to do all that I can to fix the beta though so I'll use it. Another thing, My avatar won't move. Is that another bug or is that my own fault?

For the record, technically speaking RC is not "beta". RC is intended to be "post-beta".

Generally speaking, the stages are:
- 'Alpha': Arbitrary experimentation and testing used when actively developing new code, features, etc. May crash with obscure error messages depending on what is accessed and how. Intended exclusively for developers with access to the internal code.
- 'Beta': Some features may be incomplete or "in progress" but the most common operations at least work properly for valid inputs. May still contain bugs ranging from trivial to 'crash' that need further observation, experimentation, and so forth to locate and fix. Betas can be restricted to a certain group of authorized users ("closed" betas) or available to anyone ("open" betas).
- 'Release Candidate': All desired features are complete and essentially bug-free (but further testing is still required), remaining bugs are trivial or minor in nature that require simple, quick fixes only. Anything that's not complete gets labelled a "won't fix" for the time being and disabled so it doesn't cause problems. Generally accessible to a wider group than beta.
