No I dont mean as in firega or blizzard etc. I mean as in what do you like most about a video game?
Do you prefer the fun factor?
The genre? (Shooting, rpg, action, driver, sports, adventure, etc)
The story plot?
The graphics?
The music?
The battle system?
For myself I like a rpg most of the time with a somewhat complex yet somewhat easy battle system, amazing music that has a good beat and fits with the scenes etc. A awsome plot line with many twists and turns and "Didnt see that coming!" parts. Shooters are ok as long as it is not first person POV all the time. Of course I love a good fun factor, or else why would I play the game? Plus I like a challangeing boss too, push overs disappoint me especially if they are the last boss etc. Graphics must be jaw dropping too or im only half interested in the game. Here's a good example of how I like my graphics:

Has to be fast paced. Absolutely has to be.
Blazblue, Guilty Gear, DMC3, Bayonetta, God Hand, Armored Core: FA, doesn't matter how shit the story, characters, graphics, whatever is, if it's well made and fast paced, I'm happy.
Also, being able to cancel out of things is a huge help.
EDIT: GRAPHICS>GAMEPLAY is the cancer killing the video game industry _________________ |

I like games that give me compelling reasons to play them more than once.
Graphics are nice and all, but not essential. I care very little about sound, and I usually play PC/portable games on mute.
Also, when the key to victory is skill instead of leveling. _________________ Go Yankees! |

Fucking this. I should ideally be able to play thorugh the entire game without any level-ups, upgrades, or anything similar, if I am good. _________________ |

The genre? (Shooting, rpg, action, driver, sports, adventure, etc)
Action RPGS. I like steam punks.
Sports, driving, shoot-em-ups are boring.
The story plot?
Loads of cliff-hangers. Without cliff-hangers, I don't really feel the need to continue playing.
I don't like text based stories, and I don't like games that tell you what to do. I like my game to have epic movie scenes that make me think: "What's gonna happen next?!".
The graphics?
Not too realistic, not too cartoony. So anything 3d anime-ish.
Games that are too realistic ruin it for me. Games that are too cartoony make me feel like a child.
The music?
Speedy rock for battles, classical for cut-scenes/movies.
I like something that get's me into battles, and something that pulls me into the game.
The battle system?
I like my battle system to be 3rd person view, with lock-on.
Games without lock-on make it easy to miss, if they avoid. |

I like a game with a sense of humor.
Graphics aren't important. Stylized art is nice though.
Music only needs to be good if the characters' dialogue is worth listening to.
Battle system obviously needs to be good. There's not really much of a point otherwise. _________________ ゚ ヮ゚ |

I like a game that I can play. Not too easy, not too hard. That's me. But graphics, music and plot can make all the difference. Oh, and controls have to work really well, or just... well. |

Oh snap yeah I love good dialouge too along with good character structure. and I agree with Aren when it comes to graphics. But I dont mind a good realistic game every now and then. (I also am a fan of gore, hence my love for the darker games x3)
Pretty much a game that can grab ahold of me and keep me playing to see what happens next is a game for me. (Sadly I end up beating it too damn quickly though xD)
Here's a good example of shooters I like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J346LR1TTM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7yBKL6AT88
Good examples of games I love are: Resident evil 4 (Awsome plot and dialouge, a big step away from its kin on the zombie factor),
Dirge of Cerberus (Shows that not all the FF's are hack and slash zelda genre's and that a gun can be just as bad ass to save the world)
God of war (Violence, nudity, and proof greek myths can be just as bad ass as your typical bloodrayne genre)
Grand theft auto vice city and san andreas (Cars, sex, guns, and even jet packs, awsome sauce! xD)
The soul caliburs (Ring outs, bad ass characters, and Night terror)
The Castlevania series (Shows that vampires dont suck )
Final Fantasy 7 (Need I say more?) _________________ Our life is made by the death of others...
