Deletion Question

Someone wanted me to ask for them a long time ago, maybe a few months ago or something, and they just reminded me now.

They want to know is it possible to restore a deleted or self-deleted (not banned) account here?

I am pretty sure you can't, but I am asking in behalf of my friend.

Yeah that's what I told him to begin with and he kept nagging me and he insisted I'd ask you guys.

It is technically possible in the sense that the account is still present in the database and merely [i]flagged[/i] as deleted/banned, thus denying all login attempts.

That being said, we have not built any tools to actually process un-deletions or un-bans, and even if we had them they would hardly ever see use.

I can see un-ban being slightly useful, but un-delete just wouldn't be practical.
