Well, in terms of profits, a lot of people have the Wii because it has a lot more multiplayer games that aren't resonant of each other (aka shooters and sports). Also, Playstations consistently have only two controller slots, which really drags the multiplayer content.
I'll admit, PS3 and XBOX360 have better graphics. But I play for plot - as long as I can see what I'm doing, I'm set. Though a lot of the truly amazing games come Xbox and/or PS3 exclusive, like Assassin's Creed 2 and Fable 2. Nintendo also sells more...'Everyone' games, so parents feel better with an investment in Wii than in blood-and-gore shootemups (When was the last time you heard THAT term?) However, younger kids need a longer time to 'beat' their games, while older teens and college students make more time to go all-out hardcore (not to mention the ability to stay up past 12AM easily). Thus, it's nice to have extra content and graphics that won't hurt your eyes after staring at the screen for twelve hours at a time.
Metroid: Other M looks kinda like the Lara Croft games - you're going to have to perform reaction commands in battle/cutscenes, from what I can tell on the previews.
In the future of Wii:
A) Using all four controller slots and special straps to fistfight your way through dungeons or dancing
Adding up to 16 slots for Wiimote receivers. _________________ |

Don't underestimate the value of local multiplayer, too. Online multiplayer is all the rage when it comes to shooters and RPGs, but local head-to-head and group matches are a completely different level of fun. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

When it comes to console systems, I had one of the very first oldschool nintendo 64's with game cartages and everything BEFORE I had a psx and a ps2.
I could have sold my nintendo with the game cartrages to some sucker on ebay IF my sister hadent stolen them for heroine. -3- stole my psx too the biznatch.
I have to say, wii and the playstation consoles are both rather epic, and it seems the war at who will rake in the most people with the best graphics and gamplay etc will never cease to end. I just wish nintendo would let poor ol mario and sonic retire. They are trying to make cash cows out of them like pokemon...and the worst part is...it's working. _________________ Our life is made by the death of others...

I think the Wii is pretty fun, but the other consoles are cool to. I like all video games. one system isn't better then the other to me. arguing over it is retarded. |

i love the wii
(but i think nintendo pulled the old bait-n-switch)
i think its sorta sad that when i want to play a real nintendo game(you know a game thats not a bunch of mini games)
i gotta pull out the DS, i mean it kinda wierd that the "little" system is for me where the real nintendo magic is at. _________________
