That's correct, LEGOs get expensive when there are a lot of parts.

Yeah, that price tag really did not surprise me. What was a little shocking though however was the $70 (USD) price tag on my little school bus. I threw together a little school bus at a scale appropriate for the Legs "Town Collection" just to get myself an idea on how I wanted the large scale one to look body wise. $70 for a little bus that would only be about five or six inches long when completed....that cought me a bit off guard.

I'm going to begin breaking bricks on the big one prolly this weekend just because I want to build it.

Wow 70 for a six inch little thing...that kinda sad. I mean the plastic the bricks are made of can't cost that much now can it? it's not like it's a metal.

Lego bricks are made to a fairly high precision to fit together well and consistently. If you've ever used the knock off lego alternatives you can see how important this is.

Also, they seem to manufacture everything in-house instead of our-sourcing to some poor third-world country, and reportedly are good to their employees.

They are still overpriced for little bits of plastic tho.
