i've had the dream of creating my own manga since the 5th grade. I've been working on my storyline and designs for 2 years now and i've only started the first 6 pages.

1.) like Luckylace says write out all of your ideas, sort them out like you suggested, put everything is order down to the minute detail.

2.) once you have a story and characters (and i'd suggest this if you don't want to have to go through the expense of paying for designers) try character design and storyboarding yourself to get the basic idea how things will look when they're put together.

3.) so you've got the buddies who will do some voice acting, make BG music, etc but think of the technical part of the trade. what equipment will you have to buy for voice-overs and sound recording? are you going for a digital flash anime or are you bringing out the big-gun traditional? what is your budget to begin with? that should also be written down in minute detail. believe me, that stuff means a hell of a lot

just for me to draw an anime headshot i charge $7, for realism i charge twice that. that's just stationary art, try animation and that'll probably be 5 times my prices depending on the artist you want to have work for you. If you want a true professional who's hot-off-the-charts good then be prepared to give up your year's salary or more depending on the animation quality you want.

May i ask if you're trying to make an anime for profit? or is it going to be your everyday webshow?

well, i think that you should just go for it. I mean, i suck at writing stories and i can only do Bleach ones at that but, i strongly believe that if someone sets their mind to something, they can do it. Take the movie Avatar for example. It took the guy 15 years and 300 mill to create it. Now thats determination. Whats the harm in trying something? One person mentioned Flashes. Try making a couple of those first and see where it goes from there. The best thing i can tell you is, Try your best!
