Decades from now, when you guys are dead and there is a colony on the moon. All the films you mentioned in this thread will be known as "Avatar with X". Films with very large attendants gradually increase in reputation as years go by. As its historical significance becomes part of what makes film "good".

Fuck you, I'll be the moon king.

It'll be kinda like the second episode of Futurama, but with me ruling the moon.

Personally, as someone far too obsessed with Avatar for his own good, My opinion of the likeness of other movies or animations is as follows:

Did Avatar have elements from previously seen movies? Yes.

Did Avatar turn into one very long movie that was basically about the need to be eco friendly? Yes.

Do I care in anyway if that means that the movie that I love more than food is unpopular with a rather small group of people who think it is cool to insult whatever is popular just so they can say they don't conform? Not a chance in hell.

My signature basically has everything I need to say.

Sorry if that is offensive, but I'm basically being as nice as I can.

Like I said, I acknowledge that basically all of the criticisms are true (Except that Racism comment. Total and utter bull****, that is.). But I refuse to simply condemn any movie simply because it similar to others I have seen.

Dunno if anyone else has said it, but the fact that the things living on Pandora looked so similar to things on Earth drove me nuts.
