Baraka with hair kind of threw me for a loop. I'm not used to seeing him not-bald.
I hope they do a kick-ass remake of the ninja outfits because I certainly don't want to see a flimsy human Scorpion or Sub-Zero killing people without their trademark masks. |

I hope it's a movie so it can redeem the old MK movie(s) of the past.
If it's a game, I hope it's for ps2 (Knowing my luck it wont be.)
Cause im growing tired of playing MK Armageddon. _________________ Our life is made by the death of others...

Yes they needed to re-haul the character creation big time. But I did enjoy the finishing moves (Except when you are a canon character and lack your signature kills, such as Sub Zero freezing someone and shattering them. Or Scorpion ripping your spine out.)
Plus knocking people into pits of acid or impaling them on stakes, and knocking them into spiked wheels was a good element to keep. But I was mad they didnt have the countdown option as your character is falling towards a pit of spikes. I forget which MK that was but I loved watching my brother play that version with my sister.
At least I didnt pay top dollar for the game, got it for 20 bucks. xP _________________ Our life is made by the death of others...

Ok now im going to get one. And I figured as much with the way the ps2 is being treated nowadays.
(I know for damn sure im getting a PSP for BBS. Will it work on the 3000 version? Cause that's the version im gonna get.)
But anyways, back on track, favorite move in any of the MKs? _________________ Our life is made by the death of others...

None of this begins to scratch the surface as to what's wrong with the Mortal Kombat franchise. |

MK is overflowed with problems. From the fact that current MK is a terribly sluggish 3D fighter with less depth than Tekken or Dead or Alive (Neither of which are very technical to begin with), to the fact that they still somehow let half the cast end up with infinites by the time the game hits shelves, to the fact that the series has pretty much given up on trying to fix itself, and is just trying to sell people on "HEY REMEMBER THAT ARCADE GAME THAT WAS FAMOUS FOR HAVING BLOOD AND PALETTE SWAPPED NINJAS, WELL COME PLAY IT AGAIN"
The fact that MKvDC has absolutely no community 2 years after release, while shit like CvSNK2, MvC2, and SFIII still have incredibly active communities almost a decade after release speaks volumes about the lack of effort they put into making a legitimately good fighting game.
Video related, this is what happens when devs don't care about making a good game, and don't playtest anything

Well first of all. Unless its a 2D figher you pretty much hate it..thats fine and all...
But that video is a joke...the only thing it proves is that someone has the ability to go into practice and repeat a move to overused montage music.
Most of those were looped with video editing software anyway....Not sure what you were trying to prove by posting that.
In an actual game, theres no way someone can loop an attack like that.
It has an auto-stop recovery thing to prevent spamming. Have you even played it? I believe 3 times is the limit for repeating a move.
And the only reason the community for MKvsDC is so small is because tekken 6,SSFIV,and KOF have been released.
(thats like saying BFBC 1 is a bad game because it has no community now, well the truth of it is 90% of its regular players moved onto CODMW2 or BFBC2)
And ya its a slower game because once again...it doesnt have teleporting 2d anime sprites weilding swords and fighting in a techno-color slide show of spastic wonders.
3D fighters are always going to be slower paced. And acctually tekken is extremely techical if you know how to do the complicated stuff.
And as far as the "pallete swaped" ninja's are concerned...that was the by-prodcut of a limited budget, not lazy programmers.

Not true at all, I love Virtua Fighter 5, Soul Calibur 2, Tekken 5 DR ect

Yes you can. Off the top of my head, Sonya has two viable infinites, the flash has one, Superman has one, Lex has one, Baraka has one, and I'm sure there's more than one I'm forgetting.

Infinite combo =/= spamming
And the only reason the community for MKvsDC is so small is because tekken 6,SSFIV,and KOF have been released.
Soul Calibur 4 is older than MKvsDC and still has an active scene. Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike is 11 years old and has an active scene. MvC2 is 8 years old and has an active scene. The reason MKvsDC has no community is because it was a terrible game

Tekken is not very technical. Believe you me. Especially in T6BR. Being 3D doesn't force a game to move at an ungodly molasses pace. Tekken Doesn't, Virtua Fighter doesn't, hell, Dead or Alive is even faster paced than current MK
And as far as the "pallete swaped" ninja's are concerned...that was the by-prodcut of a limited budget, not lazy programmers.
Stop making things up. After MK was a huge success in the 90's Midway had huge budgets for Mk2-3, which is when they started going crazy palette swapping. |

Ok...have you played it since its been patched?
And ya...I dont REALLY like MKcsDC a whole lot...but I can agree with T6..once your in the air..its over if the other guy knows how to juggle.
But ive watched MLG tournaments for tekken6BR and they did no juggles, it was all parries, side step counters, grapples, and tactical combos.
(not air juggles, ground to ground fighting)
But yes. MK has always been a slower fighter. |

As a word to the wise, if you are looking for high level play in... well... any game that isn't MvC2, Korea+Japan will always outplay US in fighters.
With the exception of MvC2, because Justin, Sanford, Yipes, ect somehow are able to wreck the japs in Mahvel |
