I really need help with proportion. With the face mostly, but also for example, how to angle the body, interesting poses, shading locations, but mostly how I can put eyes, a nose and a mouth without feeling like its out of proportion. Any sites or tutorials of your own?

Maybe this isn't exactly what you're looking for but posemaniacs is a great website.

I also had a drawing like that in some old art book. It helped a lot with faces (even if the drawing itself isn't fantastic.)

When in doubt, search dA. Wink

(Yes, it sounds strange to recommend dA over here, but the wider userbase is a boon when you need help)

it will onyl help you a small b it.
to get better at proportion drawing people from observation, you will learn better. YO won't learn anything from drawing from photos.
tips
-ideal height for a human is 8 heads high for a fully grown adult
teenager is 7 to 7.5
7 year old- 6 heads, 3 and half 5 heads, and 1 year old 4 heads. Remember this is ideal. It all depends on your height.
-shoulder are 1 head width. Males have mor ewider shoulder then females.
-male pelvis is more narrow and a femal a bigger pelvis
- females have longer and more graceful necks
-females caller bone are more shorter and strighter then males
-legs are half height to the body
face
-eye are in the middle of the face
- eyebrow are 1/3 between the hair line and chin
- nose is 1/3 of face. The nose ends up with the end of the eyes
- eye may vary. some are closer and are father away. ideal is 1 eye width
- end of lip end up middle of the eyes. iit's located 1/3 between nose and chin.
-legs are half height to the body
Huh, I did not notice that...! P; In a way, that is quite true. I have never tried measuring my picture legs since they are usually bending. Hmm

Another nice trick I do to make sure the eye width and space between the eyes is accurate is measure the length of one eye with your 2 fingers, and it should be close to the same length as that space between the two eyes. If not, the eyes are too far apart or too close. HAha, an art teacher taught me this. It was fun putting a simple technique and seeing it greatly help!
