hmmm...

ah I see.
Americans drill in your head that its not ok to have a mosque but its ok to express sexuality around a place like that.
Wow Im easily convinced by my parents sometimes...
It's ok to express sexuality anywhere.

Especially in a changing room at Burlington Coat Factory with someone else.
LOL ouulala

What the hell.

It's a religious building in a big neighborhood in a big city with lots of people in it of many religions. Who cares?

At first I thought it was wrong, but that's because I was easily swayed by media and my parents.

Now I feel the same as you. Its not something to really care about, but I just feel bad for the people who are going to go there to worship, sadly their going to be the ones persecuted and harassed by people who don't want the mosque there.

that's another reason why it isn't smart to build something like that there. there going to be treated like homosexuals, shunned by society, harrassed and beaten up, all those sorts of things.

i'm NOT hating fyi. i don't hate on people just b/c of simple things like religion or color. haven't you ever heard of the don't judge a book by its cover quote. i apply that to everyone i meet. so don't you go n start thinking just b/c i'm playing devils advocate that i'm a racist. it really irks me when people label you something just b/c of how you think.

i see it as more of a negative then a positive. there are to many possibilities for disaster which will breed even more hatred between the christians and the muslims. protecting there right for it is constitutional and i'm all for that. but common sense has to become a factor. its like moving a ritzy store into a ghetto. they should be able to do it, but why would you do something that dumb. the people of new york city don't forget stuff like that.

It'll be a shame if Americans do treat them like second class citizens, but that's just how our society is. Its been done for centuries and its really pathetic that Americans think this way. Of course thinking people are lower than you can be found around the world.
Also fear should never be something that's stop a person from what they want to do.

I know your not a hater. The problem is, people can't tell the difference between a persons feeling when it comes to race or religion. You may not feel good about something that's being or going to be done, but to others that sounds"racist" or "ignorant"
No you have your certain feelings towards something, you shouldn't be bashed about it.
Its a shame.

personally I'm apposed to all organized religion.(i thinks it all has a negative affect on people)

but i don't see any prob with building it (aside from my personal beliefs on the subject of religion)
i don't think most new yorkers don't give a fuck that they are building it.
i think most of the criticism is coming from outside new york.
build it and help promote peace and understanding of the Muslim religion.
i think if people better understood Islam it would not have even been an issue.

The Muslim community involved in this project needs to come out to the public and debunk all of these myths grown and nurtured by the media (such as the mosque being built EXACTLY at the sight of ground zero and opening on 9/11 etc...).

Second, Rauf needs to explain his position with Hamas (supporting or against). Upon reading on the "interwebs" (which just gives me the run around on any concrete answers) I can not decipher anything from truth to lie.

I see more republican propaganda than Muslims involved giving explanations, the people behind the project need to stop hiding behind behind the US Government in hoping that they can handle the situation.

For instance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjGJPPRD3u0

slave "I'm all for the Mosque, just bring some damn clarity to this situation" tothewall.

"I'm not now nor will ever make a statement on the wisdom of building a mosque there, only whether or not they have the constitutional right..."

That statement, in and of itself, is self-explanatory and ultimately politically correct. Good job Mr. President... you're an idiot on everything else but hey you got something right.

the rest of you idiots. Read between the lines. The president said, "hey dumbarses, it's not all that bright to be building it there, and probably not the best idea in the world, but i can't stop you from doing it. After all, we can't fix stupid..."
