Question: Can a current featured artist's work still be featured?

The featured panel on the mainpage limits itself to one per user to avoid flooding.

So, for example, would restless dreamer(current featured artist) still be able to have some of her separate pieces featured on the featured category?

Yes, She can have an individual image featured even wile holding the featured artist position.

This person is so incredibly skilled at drawing animorphics. His pictures are in perfect ballance. His Photoshop skills are, to me, very advanced. He uses the tools well to form his pictures. Everything seems to be well thought through as he makes them. Personally I don't see any reason as to why this artist's picture shouldn't be featured. The picture speaks for itself.

I think it needs to be a recent picture to be featured, this one is really old.

But actually I think I've seen art that's been featured that's over a year old. But whatever. It would have been worth it.

Any picture can be featured, but only new submissions will show up on the front page. All featured pictures can be viewed on the featured pictures page. So, technically, it's still necessary to feature old pics, I sometimes do when I find a good one.

Maybe you guys should suggest old pictures to. As long as you state that the picture is too old to show up on the main page, I think it would be fine.

I'm not saying that the current featured pictures are bad, which they're not, they're really good, but...
I was hoping if there would be a wider variety of genres? I mean, at the moment, most of them are anime. I was hoping to see more different types of art instead of Japanese inspired.

That is funny because back in the day, there were more realism/non-anime works featured, and people were hinting that they wanted more anime.

Now that anime/manga is on there, people are complaining about it dominating and there should be other kinds work. Cool
