What happened to the Featured Picture Star?

What DID happen to that Featured Picture star? I thought it was a neat way to distinguish the featured pictures (you could tell it was featured immediately without having to go through the featured category). It just disappeared one day.

Well, this does look like a bug. It also appears to be a quick fix.

[edit] ... or not....

(I swear the next time I see an E_NOTICE issued due to an undeclared variable I should make the error handler elevate it to E_USER_ERROR)

Years? Anyway, still digging through the code but I think I've got it isolated now so I can fix it for really.

EDIT: Working again!

It seems there were a total of three bugs, any one of which was sufficient to block the star icon from showing up.

I don't have it patched on all browsing pages at this time, just category and user galleries.

Broken thumbs on the RC server are not a bug in the [i]code[/i], just a bug in the configuration file.

Missing featured star is already in the new code version (preview coming to the SH forum soon when I finish the last of this template work).

I've fixed the thumbs config on rc.
