Just wondering if anyone has ideas for different and better ways of browsing art on FAC.

Keeping in mind we already have browsing options based on:

- Specific users

- Specific submission categories

- Specific dates

- Featured submissions only

For example, here's one idea of a new browsing method:

- Browsing by favorite / watched users. Similar to other browsing methods, except that only submissions by your favorite / watched artists are displayed. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

 I'm not sure that would really be useful.

There are better things to focus on than this IMO.

Such as:

* Ability to delete profile pictures.

* Self account deletion.

* Gallery Sections

and the many other items on the todo list. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |

 | I think you should be able to just go on the site and look at all the art, and not necessarily have to search for something.(like on dA) Because sometimes I don't want to look for a certain type of art, you know? Just an idea... |

 That's effectively what the "browse by date" method does (though it only works on one day at a time). _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

 There is also the random submissions for that. And browse by date isn't going to be limited to one day at a time anymore soon.

The new more powerful search engine coming also could be thought of as a way to browse art. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |

 The random submissions search could use a replacement though, it's not exactly the most sound browsing method. Trust me, I've used it on many ocations, it takes hours to find a single image that is worth viewing, I feel we can do better at some point in the future. The only person it really benefits right now is Falconlobo. _________________ RPG-n. A simple "faved or voted" filter could do wonders there... but even so, "random" browsing is, and has always been, a gimmick. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA
