Just an idea

So...the forums are dead. Although we have a decent number of people actively using the site nobody except old regulars hardly ever post anymore. So what about putting some sort of announcement or something on the front encouraging forum usage?

...I do not really like pushing people to use the forums. Even after I found out about the forums, I found little reason to use it unless there was a big bug/emergency. On the main page, you can talk about your problems plenty if not easier.

How do you talk about stuff on the main page? I may be misunderstanding.

Also...the barren wasteland status of the forums is probably due to the thing that exists on the site now where you have to get permission one at a time from a mod/admin before you can post...which by the way is broken because if I change my e-mail I have to get permission again. Evil or Very Mad

Ummm...I changed my email and I had to get permission from strata..or at least I posted to him and he took care of it. I couldn't post after I changed my email.

The "main site page. The forums and the main site are separate things. It is easier to talk to people through the main site. You can talk about general things/complain about things just fine and get comments/replies faster. Usually when you use the forums, you are expecting opinions on your opinion/reports, and it takes a bit more time.

oh you mean just messaging directly on the users profile? for some reason I thought you meant the front page... Confused
