Official 2012 Valentine's Day Contest NOTICE

Good news for the couples or soon-to-be couples! Valentine's Day is coming! Bad news for the still singles. Go back to the computer and continue your boring life. (lol, jk)

We have until [b]January 27, 2012[/b] to give me interesting Valentine's Day contest theme ideas for the official 2012 Valentine's Contest! I will only take [size=20]10[/size] idea slots.

Since I started this notice a bit late ( I apologize; aliens and abominable snowmen made me lose track of time), I will give multiple ideas already!

[b]1.[/b] What is the most unromantic thing to do during a romantic moment?
[b]2.[/b] That person you love to hate; show them your own version of "love!"
[b]3.[/b] If you could have anyone (secret crush, admirer, superhero, etc) for Valentines, who would it be?
[b]4.[/b] I am single on Valentines Day...
[b]5.[/b] What is the best present to win him/her over?
[b]6.[/b] That jerk Cupid is after me!
[b]7.[/b] You are teleported back in time to when you have a chance to say your feelings to that special person
[b]8.[/b] Last minute rush to get a Valentine's Day present!
[b]9.[/b] A suspicious flying masked bandit just stole your first kiss! ...What?
[b]10.[/b] Someone sings a romantic/not-so-romantic song for you

Feel free to shoot down my ideas with reason. I can be unbearably corny sometimes! Remember! These ideas do not have to necessarily be romantic!

I admit I'm not a common on FAC but I'd like to try a contest so I have some ideas to toss out for this one.

Idea I;What happens when it turns out your love interest already has a lover?

Idea II; "Aren't we allittle old for this?" Remember when you were a little kid and you gave everyone you knew a valentine? How about doing that all over again, except...let's say your older than 13. Any images based on this concept.

Idea III; Holiday Mix-up, every holiday is somewhat romantic (save thanksgiving...) So why not create a hybrid.

I personally like your ideas for "I'm single on Valintines Day..." and "What's the least romantic thing you could do" I kind of think they could be a good combination.

Is your computer still busted? Can you not use the library scanners? You know, if one has an incredibly steady hand, decent lighting, and a bold colored enough picture, the camera quality would not turn out so bad. If your brother has an iphone, just borrow his quite briefly. An artist's picture quality should never be undermined!

I replaced my #2 (What love [i]really[/i] means to me) with your "That person you love to hate. Show em abit of love...or not" idea (I love your wording) because no matter how much I read it, it still sounds ungodly cheesy. I incorporated your "If you could be with anyone on valentines day..who would it be?" idea with the "Secret admirer or secret crush" idea.

I like the idea behind doing it all over again, but not many artists would sympathize with giving everyone Valentines after 13. That idea does inspire me with another idea though. Hows about "You are teleported back in time to when you have a chance to say your feelings to that person"

That is so ridiculously random, it just might work? I put it down as "A suspicious flying masked bandit just stole your first kiss! ...What?"

[b]Update:[/b] I reworded the #1 "What is the most unromantic thing to do?" idea into "What is the most unromantic thing to do [i]during a romantic moment?[/i]" That can make the scenario funnier, but it may be a little specific.
I reworded the #7 "Cupid is after me!" into "That jerk Cupid is after me!" I think it is more hilarious that way.

The "flying" description is just to exaggerate the scenario and make it sound more unbelievable/hilarious. Everything else is up to the artists's interpretation! P;

Since no one is suggesting a 10th idea, I have added in, "What is "romance" in a nutshell?" a simplistic and vague enough idea! That idea may turn 10 times more lame after a good night's sleep.

Hehe last min idea if it was chosen as the contest theme, sing to them with a lute! (Yeah Ezio gave me this idea; tights are not very appealing to his legs lmao. xD REVELATIONS FOR THE WIN!)

And yes moniter is still busted sadly, and ppls are dragging their damn knuckles at finding a replacement. Plus scanners are not at this library as far as i know. So asking bro to use phone for pic it is! (He better too...if not I always can ask his bud Sue. xP She LUFFS taking pictures.)

I understand. It was just a funny idea...Admittedly its very odd and I get why most artist woundn't go for it, talk about unromantic...I'm probably actually doing it this year, though. I like your reinterpretation. It works.

I have decided not to add to it. Logically, if theme is too contradicting and depressing for the current theme (Valentines), it is hardly going to be chosen. Thus, "I am single on Valentines's Day..." will suffice. It can include those who are both satisfied and unsatisfied with this fact.
