Bing Image creator and others AI like DALL-E

With the rising popularity of AI image creators like DALL-E who spanned others AI image creators like Bing Image creator. I wonder what's Fanart-central position about it since lots of fanarts created by AI are already on Deviantart?

I did some attempts myself, that girl was supposed to be Clover from Totally Spies.

But I was more lucky with Kim Possible.

My general opinion has always been that they conceptually fall under the policy category of "generators" (originally intended for "create-a-character" / "doll maker" / "dress-up" type utilities) and are thus not allowable as a submission to FAC.

Also, apparently cstdenis updated the official policy page back in December 2022 to clarify this -- me being someone who doesn't actually submit very often I was surprised to see it updated:

We do not accept artwork generated by machine learning systems such as (but not limited to) DALL-E, Craiyon, Stable Diffusion, etc. These system can produce great images, but they are not approprate for this site.

I am actually slightly annoyed that this was done unilaterally / with zero advance discussion or announcements, but I do not disagree with this result and can confirm (via diff comparison) this was literally the only change made to the policy page.

Thanks for the infos and a suggestion then I thought, is to post a blog post on the main page about AI Generated artwork to inform visitors and members of the situation.
