Pokemon TV (wrong name) = Pokemon Channel
Rescue Team = Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (Red/Blue Rescue Teams)

Oh, and Pokemon Dash.

(I'm too tired right now to accent all those e's.)

But, in other news . . . I CAUGHT A FEEBAS!

They turned up in one square close by to where I had my secret base at (before packing it up).

Three hours of fishing... ugh. I caught 3 pair (levels 20-25, and with the Old Rod, too -- wow)

Then I promptly depleted most my supply of blue berries making pokéblocks, after which Feebas won a Normal-rank Beauty contest by a landslide even though her only moves were Splash (cute) and Tackle (tough).

A few more battles, voilà, Lv.21 Milotic.

Too bad my male Feebas didn't get enough Beauty points to evolve. I wanted a drag queen Milotic.

(Which reminds me. I did teach Shadow Ball to a male Absol after all. Whew, that's a relief!)

The first Ralts I caught was a male as well, though now it's a Gardevoir of course.

You lucky duck Strata XD you have more patience the I

That reminds me.. I still have to evolve my Feebas soon :/ The tough part is making pokeblocks/poffins that are high enough in level to raise beauty enough to max it out.

Heh...

But I have a male so it shall be a drag queen 8D To go along with my dragqueen gardavoir and bellosm XD

Where pokéblocks are concerned, I think "Level" is the strength and "Feel" is how much 'space' it takes up, in other words it's really the ratio between them that separates a "good" block from a "bad" one.

Various guides on GameFAQs.com state that:
- A pokémon can stomach 255 total "feel" points, their current status represented by the # of stars around them when you check their Condition.
- The value of a pokéblock goes up or down by 10% if the pokémon likes or dislikes the flavor.

Hmm. All of my Feebases hated the dry flavor.

It's the fact that many pokémon breeds are more easily interpreted as male or female when they technically include both sexes.

Hey, what river is it that Feebas is on? And which rod do you use?
Cause now I'm tempted...

Route 119 (from Mauville to Fortree). The river is divided into three sections though, the lower one being accessible from near the south end, the middle from near the Weather center, and the top section requiring Waterfall access.

Feebas can be caught with any rod, even the Old Rod will catch 'em at Lv.20-25.

The hard part is simply finding him. There's about a 50% or so chance of fishing one up if you've found one of the spots.

And the spots change if you give the guys in Dewford a new trendy phrase to gab about. No rhyme or reason to it, you just have to have about five hours to carefully comb over the entire river.

I don't think there's any way to tell beforehand whether or not you've found a spot with a Feebas. I do notice that, when you're fishing, some spots tend to give you "not even a nibble" after only four or five dots (instead of the usual 6~10), but that's probably just random.

That would be like a really long game... Though I do with you could traval to one other country in each game, the previous gen country that it. Like in GS. I loved how after you finished Johto you got to go to Kanto. Gave you more to do.

Y'know, is it just me or were wild pokémon more of a threat back in G1? E.g., Viridian Forest, for an early game area, was freakin' huge and there was grass all over the place to get jumped in.

yeah ._. I remember that... weedles I think were the biggest issue. Having such a large amount of pokemon that could poison you easily so early in the game is a real killer : P

That's part of what makes Poison so damn aggravating, it's generally the first status ailment you run into.
What precise square pls.
It won't help, said spots are stationed randomly throughout the river.

It was within one screen of that bush on Route 119 that you can only get to by Surfing south from the Weather Center, down to the waterfall.

Hey, at what level does a Psyduck evolve, again?

And . . . why must Jaun at Sootpolis have a Kingdra? I hate Kingdras! Dragon-type attacks don't exactly grow on TM's, and its Water+Dragon combination eliminates all other avenues of attack.

Claire's Kingdra gave me a damned hard time too, it kept Surfing my pokémon off the field.

Sceptile and Manectric completely owned everything else in this last Gym, but Juan... why does that Kingdra have to know Double Team? There have never been any good ways to increase accuracy / decrease evasion.

*sigh* Well, I suppose it's better than Hyper Beam... but, argh...

This does nothing for my dislike of Water-types.

Psyduck evolves into the very cool Golduck. Not until level 40 or so though, I believe.

In other news... I finally got a dratini on my DP 8D I love the little buggers they're so CUTE

Ah, that bites. Psyduck hit Lv.33 (Exp.Share) during that battle against Juan, so he never evolved.

As for what strategies to use against Juan . . . Absol/Manectric/Linoone can all learn Odor Sleuth, one zap with that and Kingdra's "Double Team" is not an issue anymore (except that Odor Sleuth itself can miss).

Kecleon has a high Sp.Def, and its staple Color Change would make it into either Water or Ice against Kingdra, both being good bets (Ice Beam is stronger than Water Pulse, for certain)

Sceptile can do a lot of damage, but Juan has a few Hyper Potions and can only survive one Ice Beam.

Sceptile might be able to get a few more hits in if you use a baton pass strategy. Get a brick wall and repediatly use buffing moves or items and then switch off.

Brick walls (i.e. Shuckles) aren't exactly easy to find in Hoenn, and neither is Baton Pass. But I'll figure something out. Kecleon looks like a good bet for now since he almost matches Sceptile's Sp.Def despite being 10+ levels younger.

Maybe teach solor beam to a beefy normal type? Like a chansey or snorlax... I PRETTY sure most normal types can learn it. You won't get the STAB but soloar beam is powerful enough on it's own. Cleffa/clefairy also learns Magical leaf naturally in DP... a pretty good grass move that never misses making double team useless. Don't know it it learns it in Emerald though.. I never trained one in that game.
