i go for English if the anime is avalable in English, but for the Blue Dragon Anime, which isn't in English, I will settle for Japanese, I don't really like reading subtitles all the time...i hope Blue Dragon gets an English release!

I can honestly cope with English longer than I can Japanese, but-then again~ I don;t normally watch the Japanese versions if I have the English at hand. But I agree that I like both of them just the same.

I don't mind either, it just depends what I'm watching. For example, I prefer DN Angel in Japanese, but I usually watch shows like Fullmetal Alchemist and Chrono Crusade in English ^_^

My friend said that the D N Angel dubbing was just plain bad- i haven't found the time to look into that, whats so bad about it?

I don't mind either way as far as diologue is concerned. In "Howl's Moving Castle," Calcifer's Japanese voiceover made me laugh so hard, but he had alot more lip in his English voiceover. Smile
There are pros and cons to either format.

Most Definately I prefer the Japanese version. No offense to America, but once an anime gets Americanized, it gets uber butchered. I mean really, take Naruto, or One Peice, or Shaman King for example. I love 'em all, but the English versions suck. I'd prefer "doppelgangers" over shadow clones anyday. The ending themes are awesome, but you don't hear them in the English version, and I don't know why, but the Japanese version is just more interesting to watch. YAAAY JAPAN!!!!

Well that all depends
there are different as you say "English anime"

there 1st is dubbed anime
then theres canadain anime (Jacob 2 2 and such are that type of anime)

Well i'm a pure japanese lover and i hate dubs
Well i can't say that i hate dubs, i just hate when 4kids gets there hands on it.
Some dubs are half decent, like jeddex (sp?)

I like Canadain anime, it may not be animated very well but the plots are stronger than what America does with the anime.

im a Japanese fan though, but i like CANADAIN animation
^_^

I like both. As long as the English Voice Overs are good and the Japanese Version has subtitles... Smile
