Yes they are. They are pure pop metal. They have never changed their stlye, they have never tried anything new. They have kept the same stale style, putting out mediocre album repeatedly for years. Check out bands like Behemoth, Nightwish, or Lamb of God. All of those bands slowly evolved. They changed their style slowly, not to suit a general populace (coughatreyucough), but as a natural evolution towards a better fit for the combined members. A7X has kept the same style for fan appeasement.

In conclusion, Beheomth > A7X
