It is worth mentioning that you can no longer play your old PS2 titles on the PS3, as they've completely removed backwards compatibility from current models. Only the original (20GB/60GB) PS3 models can play PS2 games.

I have an old 80gig and ps2 games still work on it. Or the ps2 games I've played recently still work on it.

ya, I have a 2007 80GB fat, they are the best ones available.(not new of course but if you find one for under 500$ GRAB IT!!)

ya, there is no longer linux support, or backwards compatibility for the models that are and will continue to be in production. Its still the best console out there.

As far as exclusives go, It depends on what you like I guess, but out of the 2, PS3 exclusives > 360 exclusives (opionion of course)

According to Wikipedians, the removal of OtherOS is believed to be because somebody figured out how to hack the OtherOS support and get full horsepower out of the PS3's processors. Y'know, the level of horsepower that Sony only wants paying developers to have access to.

Cause I heard rumors that the next installment of KH (Not BBS), KH re-connect is going to be on the PS3. Not to mention the online play ablities and web surfing.

Yeah, everyone and their dogs will have a ps3 before me sadly.

I understand how you feel. Until they bring it down to say... £180, then it's a no-no. This be one of my dream gadgets to own and would look cool in my flat.

it already dropped from the original $600.00 to $299.00, Im sorry to say that a price drop to a lower tier pricing just wont happen.

(until sony's next console is about 2 years old maybe)
