Well the first one I have (the first generation), the touch screen doesn't work at all on it. It's completely ruined but it does play games fine that doesn't use the touch screen.

The second one I have, the DS Lite, the speakers are messing up and it doesn't recognize the games I have like 50% of the time, so I thought a new one would be worth it.

Also, more than one DS means you can keep the Pokemon games in full trade legendaries, restart, trade legendaries mode.
The wonderful uses of trading. Get a whole team of Giratinas.

I got the DSi just because I wasn't the one paying for it.

Plus, I needed two DS's to trade from my ol' Pokemon Diamond to my Platinum.

Otherwise, yeah, it's useless. I can't even play my music on it. (.AAC ? ... Pffft.)

Bought it the day it came out....for some reason. Oh well, its good, I can work a few emulators on it.
