Personaly, I think it's pretty damn cool. It's great to learn more about alternative lifestyles and other religions. I love the way the alts have kinda' taken control of the show and turned it into a learning experience and a spiritual journey instead of letting it be just a buncha people fighting over $100,000. They all seem very inteligent. I was especialy suprised by the Vampire, Don. I'm used to only the mythological creatures. Don is something else entirely. His explanation of vampyrism and his lifestyle make plenty of sence to me. I don't know weather I beleave in it, personaly, but then I don't know if Jessus was the son of God eather, so who can judge him for his beleafs. Hell, the way he explains the transfer of energy and feading off other's energy and all, sounds like something I've actualy experienced befor. Very interesting stuff. ^-^

Best of all is just how intelectual he seems, and how totaly unashamed he is. Sounds like coming out on TV like this is a big deal, what with what he said about Vampyres being so secretive. I think it's awsome that he's doing what he feals is right, even at the risk that some may turn on him.

I was also shocked to hear that Vampyre Hunters exist. All the more reson for the vamps to come out of the shadows IMO...the consititution can't protect minorities that aren't known to exist, nor can law enforcement stop hate groups that pose as paranormal researchers.

And Fiona seems so sweet and pure! I'm just kinda amazed by her gentle and peaceful nature. I already beleave that majic exists...Her's very well may be real, as well as that of the Voo-Doo preistes.

I'm gonna have to try to get on the next show. Odds are I won't be salected, but what the hey. It's worth a shot.

P.S. It has to be mentioned...My god, Don is sooooo hot. 0_o Ok, that's enough fangirlism from me.

Yup, yup, I agree with you. Smile It really is an interesting show. Laughing I think the alts are kind of cool too. I mean each of them having their own beliefs and being truly devoted to it.
But, some of the guests are can become really annoying especially Kelly(or was that her name?) Wink , she acts so immature, but hey I can't blame her. I do feel sorry for her too since she was voted out by the alts. . .

I felt pretty bad for Kelly to, as anoying as she could be. I think if anyone neaded to be there it was her. They should have voted off that Tim jerk instead. It's realy sweet how Avacodo and Don bonded with her. She seems like a nice girl, just imature, and they seemed to realy understand her. She said she's still friends with them, though, so that's good.

There are a few things that are starting to get to me about the show, though. Sci-Fi has NO respect for the people on the show or for their religions and lifestyles. Like how the bios for the alts make false claims of things the Alts never said...like Don being 'of the Chosen' or something simularly rediculous. And on the description for ep3, they say the women in the godess ceramony where wearing 'langerie(sp)', and make it out like it's some sort of sexual thing when it's suposed to be a sacred ceramony. The editors totaly played up any sexual inuendo in the ceramony and made it look and sound horible. I don't think this is the story the Alts were trying to tell at all! >: ( And then there's the fact that you are rewarded for taking part in ceramonies and chalanges, wich hardly seems fair as some of it may go against the religion of the guests. Asking people to be open minded is one thing, trying to make them take part in religious ceramonies they don't beleave in is another. It's sad, because I don't think the Alts intended it to be that way...unfortunately it was sort of built into the game and premise by the producers. Things are starting to take a bad turn, and I'm worried the end result of the show might be made to seem more negative than positive, because that seems to be what Sci-Fi wants to sell. (Notice how the show is sandwiched between episodes of that soft-porn trash 'Triping the Rift' for instance.)

I love the Alts, and I like some of the guests, but Sci-Fi is ruining it. As if it weren't bad enough that they're calling 4 days in the house 'week one' and smooshing everything into a pathetic 10 episode season, now they have to try and give the show and the people on it a bad name as well? They are not doing these people justice.
