Man, I feel like a horrible person for even bringing this up, but... I can't help being suspicious! Do you believe these were all done by a 16-year-old? Who didn't bother to sign any of them? And doesn't really talk at all about the work put into them, or media used? CG is claimed to be done in VRay, which I thought was a 3D-rendering program.

2.

4.
5.
Done with mechanical pencil, Prismacolors, and pen... o_O?
6.
7.
Looks like two completely different styles. Two completely different media.
8.
Done in pencil and pen. Sure looks like CG to me.
Anyway, there are more, but... yeah. Any of these look familar to anyone? Maybe I'm just a terrible person who can't appreciate it when someone truly brilliant comes along, but... Sheesh. This person frickin' begged off on being suicidal when I asked what their preferred medium was, and refused to answer me. |

Any genius artist who doesn't have a fetish over a medium is a fraud
Gouache is teh win
I say
Slit his throat
The two different drawings of Legolas is pretty obvious, the style is completely different, and no one would draw the same pose over again if they are successful once, Rindi-Chan, could you PM their gallery? I want to see this...
Oh yeah, and also, the first pencil drawing and the 2nd&3rd drawing has a different style, no? they also have a different tint, the first is bluish, the second and the third is French-Grey, the tint is caused by difference in scanners, that just adds to the suspision.
and thirdly, the first CG hasn't been done by VRay, it is most likely to be Open Canvas or Oekaki, Who the bleep uses VRay? This person is probably a retarded Drafting student who only knows that program <_<
I'm so judgemental, Aren't I? well if I'm wrong, at least a person got hurt. _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |

It's all suspicious. The first picture in their gallery states that they never color their work and then... hey! *points at the first picture she listed*
Mmm... I kinda pissed this person off back when I first dropped a couple comments. Annoyed the fans too.... |

PM the person's account name to either Layzcarter or Fallen, Right now, the score stand at:
I found pictures squashing art thieves the most since the creation of this section,
EDIT: that didn't make sense
I killed art thieves! yay!

To the moderators:
This section should be called "The Guillotin", where Art thieves are trialed and beheaded, _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |

That site isn't opening for me. I did find one of this users images a couple of months ago by just looking up dragons in google. But I couldn't find any of the others, and there was no artist sig on the one I found. I hope this dragon site is just down at the moment.... _________________ |

You guys probably don't need my info now (two pics is enough to support banning a thief from FAC), but:
#2 hits all the targets for a D&D styled dragon.
#5 is most likely a general photograph from a poster/calendar/online.
#8 has to be CG; you simply can't create pixel-thin diagonals with traditional media and a scanner.
On a related note, I heard about them a few days ago. The fangirlish descriptions they gave in their pictures (e.g. "dragons kick @$$!") is enough by itself to suspect them of thievery (few serious/real artists would consistently say something like that about their own pictures), but with two pieces of proof lined up... send an e-mail. You might also PM layzcarter, because she's known about this person for a while already. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

#8 isn't CG exactly, it's the pen filter in photoshop, and that's a photo of Amy Lee, no? It's a decent con job until you start uploading filtered photos. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I just tracked that person down Thanks Stratadrake for the hint
and wow, that's some nice conning, they stole almost similar style images of obscurity (not well known nor official) all over their gallery, from one look, you wouldn't be able to tell it was stolen, except:
Dragons kick @$$ to a drawing that probably took HOURS
Doesn't like to mention how they did it nor the medium
Anyway, kill him, if you are sadistic, leave a comment on his profile few hours before _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |

For the win. *_*
As for #8, heh, I was wondering what this claim of using a 'graphic pen' was because I've never heard of such a thing. And yeah, as soon as I started poking around in Photoshop... The Graphic Pen filter is actually rather amusing. |
