I just got hooked on another manga the other day: Nana. It's soooo shoujo and full of drama and tears and angst, but it's awesome. I think it's been licensed - I remember hearing something about it showing up in some new shoujo manga magazine in the States. Anywho, I've only read the first three books, but I'm really enjoying it. The story revolves around two very different girls, both named Nana, that end up rooming together while pursuing their dreams. It's done by Yazawa Ai, who also did Paradise Kiss, and is currently a very popular series in Japan. I think they're making a movie based on it. *wants to see it*

Tis better to tell one or two series that you really adore and say a few things that you love about rather to just slap a big 'ol list together ^^;;

Anyways.. just realized that I never put down MY favorites ^^;;

Naruto- My current number one favorite. Which is unusual since I tend to like shoujo series better. But I love this series because of the amazing characters in it. There are so very very very many of them, and it's very cool how much detail they go into about even some of the very minor characters bachground stories. Plus there are some really wild looking attack techniques. It's just all around very very cool.

X/1999- CLAMP's never ending epic. I love the art. It's very symbolic and beautiful. Plus the multiple hintings at several yaoi pairings doesn't hurt either. :3 Even I heve this fear the CLAMP will never finish it >.>

Tactics- Pretty boys, demons, hakamas, and yaoi hintings plus a killer opening theme. What more could a girl like me ask for? :3

It does seem as if every character had a crappy childhood. Can't wait for the filler episodes to end.

You dont have to buy the platinum series just to watch it(though i do collect the platinum anyways).Its only because its a good classic anime. ^_^
