Is it better to have your speakers on the floor, somewhere high up or in the middle, like on a table? If you want to get the best sound, I mean.

your speakers should sit at your ear level where ever you like to sit. do not put your stereo components near areas that they will be in contact with extreems (cold/heat/sun). always make sure that speakers are on a steadt surface. not just from base rumbling them off or breaking the structure, but you get awfull feedback too. and get the heaviest wires you can to them, more wire thickness=better signal.
