I learned how to use it by opening up a blank file and messing around with the tools and brushes and such. I didn't use any tutorials to learn how to use it. At the time when I got my Photoshop Elements 5.0, I was trying to wean myself off openCanvas. Photoshop's a really great program to use once you figure it out. It took me several weeks to figure out everything before I could use it properly.
Basically, in other words, you just need to practice and figure out what does what in the program. |

I actually prefer openCanvas over Photoshop. It was the first real art program I've ever used, and I want to buy it. |

The only thing notable about the newest versions of OC is that you can save as a PSD. If you don't switch back and forth between PS and OC a lot, you might as well stay with the free version.

Try searching for "openCanvas" or "portalgraphics". See if that helps any. |

Where did you get the trial version of Open Canvas? I have a boot legged copy of Photoshop 6 on my comp...but I don't have a fill tool and some other very important tools, so it's nearly impossible to work with. _________________ Don't doubt me, for you will be proven wrong. |

Photoshop 6 most definitely had a fill tool. Look around. _________________ Go Yankees! |

Thanks for the link.
I have looked and looked and looked for that thing. Unless there is one of those short cut codes to access it, I can't find it! And I also don't have a burn tool. _________________ Don't doubt me, for you will be proven wrong. |

You're welcome.
This may help, though my Photoshop is a different kind from yours.

But the problem is they don't exist in my program. Does anyone know how to do screencaps like that? Maybe I can show you. _________________ Don't doubt me, for you will be proven wrong. |

It's very simple, actually.

Open up Photoshop

Locate and press the Print Screen key on your keyboard. (Located near F12)

Open up MS Paint

Paste

Save the file

Upload the file to photo-hosting website like PhotoBucket or TinyPic.com

Paste the [IMG] URL here
