| I know for a fact that Fayore knows Japanese, and I think Raymei does too. So, can you guys give me some phrases, easy ones, and I'll translate them, since I really need practice and this way seemed like fun ^^ Everyone else can give me phrases too, but there's no way of knowing if my translation is right or not unless you read and speak Japanese... |

You need to install a japanese font (download a japanese font and put it in your fonts folder).

The Microsoft website has one (MS Mincho). That style is easy to read; I recommend that you try to find it off their site.

....

"Hi, how are you" would be better translated as "ohayou [gozaimasu]! (or konnichiwa/konbanwa; which ever fits the time) ogenki desu ka?"

"ikani aruka takai" is a little difficult to translate, but the first thing I'm going to say is it isn't right. "takai" [高い] means "high" or "expensive". Nice try, though. _________________

:o I'm twice as old as you are! XD
しゅうまつどこかいきましたか。
Shuumatsu [週末] = Weekend

Dokoka [何処か] = Anywhere

Ikimashitaka [行きましたか] = Did [you] go?

"Last weekend, did you go anywhere?"

Although I think your sentence is correct, it's more 'proper speech' to use the particle "wa" after "shuumatsu" and "ni" after "dokoka". _________________
