Cless is okay. He's not too smart, but Kusao Takeshi makes up for that.
Chester, Klarth, Dhaos == WIN
;_;
I wish more people knew what I was talking about. xD _________________

he calls Lloyd "sir bud"

--> Collette: I think i'll go for a walk
Lloyd: I'll come with you
Collette: No, thank you. i'll be fine
Genis: Ha-ha! You got re-jec-ted!
Lloyd: Hey, Shut up Genis.
You can kick Mithos' ass without Raine.
Just set Genis to constantly cast meteor storm and have lloyd constantly use Rising falcon.
Fight over in 38 seconds :/
<_< Pfft. Use Lloyd's cursed weapon. Inflict at LEAST 2000 a hit and at LEAST 1000 a block and at LEAST 10,000 (!) for every Rising falcon.
Beat 7 seconds.

I don't know how many ToS threads I've seen. I think this is my fourth one.
Meh. Got all the costumes (also in the PS2 version) and got everything. I even know almost (mental note: "almost") all of the tech and spells in Japanese! But I'm kinda rusty because I haven't played it for a while... You can call me your ToS guru! ...or not. _________________ When we both rule the world, we will be entertained by the little things. |
Since I mentioned Tales of Phantasia earlier, and you guys didn't mind, I guess I'll mention it again.
Yeah, I just found out that the ToP game that's coming to Europe and NA is the GBA version that was made in 2003. xD
Oh, wtf?! I was hoping it'd be for the PS2 or something. Now I'm depressed. |

ToS is not only on GBA, but for Gamecube as well. And, not trying to brag, but I have a version for the Xbox. |

:huh:
Tales of Symphonia got released for the xbox?
PS2, yes, xbox, no.
And the GBA version is completely different than the GC and PS2 one. _________________ |

Tales series = never going to be released for XBox. It's because the XBox isn't popular in Japan. :x
...Tales of Symphonia has a PS2 release? I'll have to put that on my to-buy list, then. :x _________________

And X-BOX isn't popular in Japan because its too clunky.....that, and the natural Japanese hatred for all American technology....
Ya. ToS was good. Simple, easy but good. _________________ Smoking cigarettes can reveil hidden laser traps. This message brought to you by Marlboro.

Goddammmit! Read the post n00b. It's Tales of Phantasia not Tales of Symphonia. And secondly, no there's no version of TOS on X-box unless it was US made and that what totally screw the whole game. |

*RES'D*
I still haven't gotten my hands on the PS2 version of ToS, so it'll be a while before I can actually comment on that, but I bring other news anyway. 8D
Tales of the Abyss, widely heralded as the best Tales game thus far, is coming to NA in the fall. LOL. I've been to Namco's TotA page, and it's somewhat spoilerific, even if they didn't mean it to. I think it was mostly putting the character stats up; since Asch's and Luke's stats are identical (down to the weight!) it's obvious that they're related. Then again, I bet that playing the first five minutes of the game would probably tell you that, so... ^^;
I have no clue if Tales of Rebirth will be coming over (if ever), and I'm also pretty sure that the Narikiri Dungeon (+Summoner's Lineage?) games for the GBA have been licensed for a while now. I don't care if they're a "spin-off" from the main series, I wanna play anyway (and catch all the cameos of the Tales characters, heh).

Ooh, what system is Tales of the Abyss for? I would go look at the website, but if it's that spoiler-chocked, I probably shouldn't... _________________ Disgaea's Overlords Dance in Worlds Beyond Infinity while Mifuyus Magical Multiplying Mole reads the epic Chronicles of Yord, and you learn that your Craving for Finding a Heart of Snow is Taboo in VG unless you dare undertake The Combine of Sin... |

PS2. 8D That means I'm so there. Even though I still mean to get Tales of Legendia, Symphonia, and the Summon Night Craft Sword Story games. ^^;
It's in Japanese (the one I went to, anyway), so it shouldn't be too bad if you're just interested in finding images. :B
*sigh* I think I should get a summer job, but my going to summer school is somewhat of a detriment. ._. _________________

Thanks for bumping this, Fayore! *internet kisses* It's fun (And somewhat laughable) to see what you've said about a game a long time ago. o_o My friend and I were talking about the figurine collection thing and she made me want to play it again today, interestingly enough.
The game the first few times was awesome, but then I started looking for flaws- and wouldn't you know it, there were quite a few. While I won't specify more fanboy-things that would require us all to compare e-penis size, I think the story was stretched thin in a desperate attempt to make it longer. The characters get on my nerves at times (Hi Lloyd, Sheena, Kratos) but..I just can't stop playing it once I start. It's the extra costume addiction. x_x
Though I love picking out things relevant to ToS in ToP. :B The two mooooons~ I can't wait for ToTA to come out either. ;_; So many good games, so little loose money. _________________ |

I liked TOS. Too bad Tales of Legendia wasn't as good...
I thought the game was a bit easy, but hacking away at stuff is always fun. Though after awhile you begin to notice the lack of new generic monster designs. Or at least I did since I always trained in pretty much the same two spots. I'm disappointed in the lack of people that used Regal. Though I guess it's for good reason. The only thing he had was high HP(I think, it's been awhile since I played). He was pretty though. o_o |

I like the easy part 'cause I can beat it in like two or three days and get stuff I didn't unlock before. :0
On the topic of Regal; he was an awesome character, I wish the game gave him a bit more attention (ie I want closeups of his bellyshirt :>) but for a combo-fighter he had sickeningly low defense-or maybe I just couldn't use him right.
Maan, the world needs more ripped guys in bellyshirts. D: _________________ |

My team's permanent two members: Colette and Regal ~.^ Well, aside from the fact that Colette's always being captured and Regal's unusable for half the game --.-- Regal's defense actually isn't too horrible in my opinion--it's the fact that he's slow. His attacks are really fast, but he himself is slow. It's difficult for him to dodge attacks, so he naturally eats a lot of damage. But who cares? He eats non-boss monsters for breakfast with the damage he can do, and he's gorgeous ^.^
I try not to use Raine. I love Raine as a character dearly ("MARVELOUS!") but using her always feels vaguely like cheating to me. It's just too easy to win with her on your side. I like Colette, Genis, Presea, and Regal--two back-row cannons and two front-row tanks ^.^
What teams do you guys like using? _________________ Disgaea's Overlords Dance in Worlds Beyond Infinity while Mifuyus Magical Multiplying Mole reads the epic Chronicles of Yord, and you learn that your Craving for Finding a Heart of Snow is Taboo in VG unless you dare undertake The Combine of Sin... |

Not technically on topic, but my ToP roster is usually Cless, Mint, Klarth, Chester, in that order from the front. Sometimes I substitute Arche for Chester and stick her between Mint and Klarth, but that's pretty much only when I'm at a boss battle that practically requires magic usage. :X
I'm thinking of picking up a GC sometime in the future just for ToS. Or just buying the PS2 version of it, but that would mean having to wait to buy the PS3. Which I'll have to anyway, but what can I do? :0 |
