"Platform" is a confusing term which can either refer to a specific console itself (a 'platform'), or to the 2D/3D "platforming" genre. Platforming games are defined as 3rd-person action titles with an emphasis on character movement, especially jumping -- hence the name, because you often find yourself jumping from one platform (still or moving) to the next.

Halo and Halo 2 are NOT considered "platforming" games for the simple reasons that:
- They use a 1st-person camera.
- The emphasis is on firearms-based combat across solid terrain.

However, I would like to stress a different point.

"Computer Talk" is intended for discussion about computers and technology IN GENERAL only.

Discussion related to video games, on the other hand, goes into the Video Games section. Look a little farther down the list next time.
