I say use a different program such as microsoft office picture manager or even paint and photoshop. Each does it different, but are fairly simple to use.

Astronamymage is right about using the utils on your own comp first, but I'll give a quick-reference sheet to our cropping utility anyway.

1 - Upload an image from your computer and you will be taken to the cropping utility.
2 - Your image should appear on the next page with a rectangle around it. The rectangle represents which area of your image file will be kept after it has been cropped, all areas outside of the rectangle will get "trimmed off".

The "+" and "--" buttons allow you to shrink or enlarge the overall rectangle, while the "Height" and "Width" buttons allow you to shrink or enlarge the rectangle's width or height.

You may also click and drag on/inside the rectangle to move the rectangle around the image, centering it about whatever portion you wish to keep.

The "Preview" button displays, in a new window, what the cropped result will look like with the current rectangle.

The "Crop" button crops your image according to the current rectangle. Save the cropped result to your hard drive, then back up to the main Add Fanwork page and use the link for uploading a file from your PC.

Ok, I can do all that, it comes up with some stupid box that says some like 'Your selection must cover the whole of the image' but its already covering the area I want it to!

Help me, because frustration really isn't good for me. I'm beating up the futon (SP?) for no good reason because of it <_<
