Problems W/ Profile Comments

:huh: For some very odd reason, I'm able to comment on people's work(pics, stories, etc), but not on there profiles. Whenever I attempt to do so, the icon that says "Add a comment to this user's profile" It acts like a "back to top of webpage" icon and links me to the top of the page. Why is this happening to me? What can I, If possible, do to get rid of this problem ASAP? Are other people having similar problems? Are you going to fix the problem, or give me directions? If you are going to fix it, how soon? Can I rely on you to answer me quickly? Why am I asking so many questions? Did I Leave anything out? :wacko:

P.S: Sorry about the pic sizing. My first pic messed up on size too. Only natural that my first forum post would have the same problem. Banghead

* URL of the page you were on where the problem occured.
* A copy & paste of any error message(s) you may have received. (important!)

Small note, make sure that you don't have popups blocked for FAC or something because what that button does is that it brings the page back to the top and adds a pop up where you type in the message. So if you have popups blocked, it's likely that clicking on that button only refreshes the page, and you don't see the new window.

EDIT: unless it's not a popup and just a link to open a new window... <<; Dude, I suck at troubleshooting.

1) I've been using Mozilla Firefox for about 2 1/2 years now, and the one I've been using hasn't gotten any problems before.
2) There was no specific URl. I tested this on multiple pages, which includes http://www.fanart-central.net/profile.php?...aid=UT_Inuyasha , http://www.fanart-central.net/profile.php?aid=Arson , and http://www.fanart-central.net/profile.php?...=purplegirl1919 . From that, I think it occurs on profiles in general.
3) As I had mentioned before, there was no erroe message. It mearly put me back to the top of the page without a window to comment in. I did notice something change when I went back to check: the symbol for numbers( # ) appeared in the address box directly following the normal address( Example: http://www.fanart-central.net/profile.php?...id=UT_Inuyasha# )

For Breloom: I put it here first, because I wanted a pic similar to my profile pic in my first forum listings.
And second: cuz I'm a dumb nubie at this forum stuff and thought that was haw to get a pic in the space were you have a pic of a turtle/mushroom creature.

I use Mozilla as well, and I haven't been having any problems. So it's not the browser... :/

Clicking on that link should have brought up a window (with the url www.fanart-central.net/profile_comments.php?op=showAddComment&aid=username).

I don't know what to make of it, but if you still want to post comments, you can use that url as a work-around (just replace the red with the [i]exact[/i] username of whoever you want to comment on) till someone is able to figure out how to fix it. :X

Long as the comment window shows up like it should, that is actually normal behavior. (A # sign near the end of a URL indicates an anchor/section name somewhere along that page.)

Guess what? I FINALLY figured out what the problem was. It turned out that, in addition to automatically giving me their toolbar, Yahoo also activated their perfectly overprotective popup blocker without my knowledge. I have resently disabled their blocker, and now the comment windows are opening agian. Anyway, thanks for your help.
