G4 Is Going To Fire The Tech Tv Staff!

You know how Tech TV (if you watch it) is doing this thing with G4. You know the channel that has X-Play and Anime Unleashed and all those awesome shows. Well G4 is going to fire all the tech tv staff! ;____; I just signed a petition that says i won't watch tech tv anymore if G4 fires the staff. If you wish to sign this petition here is the linky ^^

Rumors. Heh. But one thing is certain: You CAN'T do "X-Play" without Adam and Morgan.

Most of the G4 shows (at least the ones which have appeared on TechTV) suck by comparison, their hosts aren't nearly as entertaining and just about ALL of them use the exact. same. damned. credit sequences.

Yeah Adam and Morgan are my favorite tv people Very Happy

I just heard it on the bakaneko.com and i kinda flipped out. lol. And the G4 shows really are boring. I haven't even watched a whole episode of it. I guess I am just used to X Play Very Happy

G4 does okay documentaries, but that's not saying much since it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to screw up a documentary. It's mostly their hosts, they're not entertaining enough. And when they try to be funny, it feels like they're trying too hard. And G4's stupid credits sequence is extremely annoying after seeing it just two times -- at least TechTV lets its shows have their own credits sequences & music....

Maybe they should fire the G4 hosts instead Laughing

i signed it. G4 is booooooring. tech tv is so much more entertaining. G4 has crap programing. they better not get rid of the good shows like anime unleashed, unscrewed, and x-play.

ok, i haven't watched techtv in awhile but i recently watched it and was like WTF?! so now they're not even calling it techtv but "G4" probly to sound all "hip" and "cool". they're probly like, "yeah, even if we have a bunch of crap shows, if we make some cool name that will appeal to all the geeks and make them feel cooler, the money'll just b rollin in!" itz as if techtv is being bought out by like another company or some weird s**t! *sigh* tis a shame really! duz firing all the techtv peepz mean that they're also gettin rid of the guyz off the screensavers?! thatz like their most popular show!

and another thing! why duzn't "G4" company or w/e the hell it is, just get itz own f**king channel instead of stealing techtv's?! hmm well techtv may be doing it for the money but G4 is like totally taking over!

I may not have all my info straight, but I do believe G4 actually WAS its own channel, and that TechTV and G4 were both bought out by a different company -- hence the merger.

So far, in my area TechTV's programming hasn't changed much. X-Play episodes are still on at 1, 8, 11pm, and they kept Robot Wars at midnight -- G4 programs so far show up only at 2, 3, and 7pm.

It looks official, Adam & Morgan are still on X-Play.

The other day I saw an episode or two of G4's "Judgement Day", their equivalent to X-Play. While that show has some interesting points, I still think X-Play is better.

Things that G4's Judgement Day does better than X-Play:
- Summary of each review. After giving it their rating (1-10 for games, recommended/not for peripherals), they summarize both the good and bad aspects of it.

And, things that X-Play does better than Judgement Day:
- Adam & Morgan are relaxed, and FUNNY, co-hosts. (viewer mail: "I am ever so interested in chanting with her", Morgan: "I think chanting is best left to the Gregorians, but...") The guys on G4's Judgement Day don't show much in the sense-of-humor department.
- Adam & Morgan make jokes about the games they review (Adam [FFXI review]: "What, you never heard of evil sheep? They're ba-a-a-a-a-a-d..."). Especially for the bad games.
- Morgan's a girl! So obviously, Adam & Morgan have differing views on scantily-clad game characters. I'm not so sure this applies to the guys on G4's Judgement Day.
- Comical interludes between reviews. "What are the cool people doing?", "The Effects of Performance-Enhancing [i]Drugs[/i] On Gamers", "Gateway Games", so on.
- The Disembodied Voice.
