Why Do Some Pictures Get Rejected?

No, my pictures didn't get rejected. I ask that question because my friend, [b][B][B]supershadow fan[/b]'s [/B][/B]pics got rejected why's that?

The staff member who oversaw that picture's submission will have sent an e-mail to the user informing them of why.

If you don't know that, we can't really help you.

There are many possible reasons, such as:
- Picture sideways or upside-down
- Unacceptable title (prefixed by random symbols, etc.)
- Misleading rating/advisories for picture content
- Wrong category to submit the picture to
- Screencaps/official art not allowed
- General photographs not allowed
- Edits/modifications of official art not allowed

Thanks for telling me that. Now I can my friend with his pics so that they won't get rejected again.

Hm, I just took a look at this guy's gallery, and his only other picture is an edit of an official image. So I'm guessing that one managed to make it through somehow, but not the others.

Please tell him to remove that pic as well.

Indeed, we do NOT allow modifications or "edits" of official art. Regardless of exactly what or how extensive those edits may have been, the simple fact that it was built from the creation of another artist/studio means that it is a violation of the original artist's copyright and we cannot allow it on FAC.

Edits of general photography fall paralell to edits of official art, and cannot be allowed in an FAC submission.

The picture in question is actually an edit of a [i]photograph[/i], specifically the one on his profile page.

Still, it's an edit of a source we do not recognize as valid for submission, so we cannot allow the picture itself.
